Ferry Information
The town of Craig and Prince of Wales Island is served
by both scheduled air and water transportation originating
from Ketchikan, Alaska’s first city. Ketchikan is about
90 minutes north by air from Seattle.
Seattle to Ketchikan
All direct flights to Ketchikan originate from the
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington State.
Alaska Airlines is the only carrier currently providing jet
service to Ketchikan. During the summer at least 4 non-stop
flights arrive daily in Ketchikan from Seattle, starting early
in the morning through late afternoon, so further connections
to the Island are convenient.

Ketchikan to Craig
After arrival at the Ketchikan airport, several scheduled
carriers provide differing connecting services to the Craig
area and Prince of Wales Island, as follows:
(1) By float plane from the airport to the
Craig Seaplane Facility – about 2 minutes from the Lodge.
(2) By wheel plane from the airport to the
Klawock Airport – about 15 minutes from the Lodge.

(3) By Island Ferry from town. Guests with
a relaxed schedule and the right connections might like to
sail the new Inter-Island Ferry Authority’s M/V Prince
of Wales for a leisurely 3 ½ hour voyage to the dock
at Hollis on the east side of Prince of Wales Island –
about 50 minutes from the Lodge. We’ll pick you up.

(4) Didn’t find the flight you wanted?
Besides the scheduled carriers noted above, many air charter
services are available between Ketchikan and Craig, and will
leave at a time of your choosing. The Lodge staff is very
familiar with all available modes of transportation and their
connectivity. We will be happy to advise or assist you in
any way possible so that you may secure the reservation that
best meets your needs.
